Now-a-days working in kathamandu has become much more tedious and not fruitful... whatever you try to do is not considered and on top of that the failure rate is much more higher.....
Lots of youngseters are frusted with not being able to cope with the social reforms that are going and the fashion from outside world is taking over .... the lives... he he i mean to say that the terms they use are coming up with the frustration they are taking and using some time out to forget not knowing that is killing their future............
Lots of guys going to disco taking drugs and alcohol and going for joy riding at night and early mornings have become common on most cities ... now its been common in KTM also with the use of more advanced and happy hours of the vendors of liquors are providing promotional stuffs to attract youngsters ... the great crowd so far....
and even the gals are taking cig and enjoying the night life out in the valley.
This has been some sort of routine for most of the people due to tedious days and making merry in the long run... not knowing they are putting their precious time in risk for future ... having wasting their youth in the vigilance of "some joy" in dark night and ............................

Translation
he he the tedious work translation
Everyone is talking about localization ... everyone is keen on working with the langauage ... now what are we doing and will that be helpful on the long run ... it really bugs me...
Being a newar working for the nepali language and learning the basics is really nice and its getting into my nerves that this is really going to affect the whole mass to deliver the information in local language ... the need for information has really grown but disseminating those information is a real big challange though the medium are vague and could be distributed with lots of media ... but still computer and IT had a major role for that .. coz this is different ...
people can get the information through IT when and where and what are necessary for them .. alas other media are not of this kind that it delivers the message to the mass at one time.... repeats it .. if someone misses it he/she cannot have access to it .. like from .......computer
But still newletter , newpaper , magazines and now TV radio and FM are playing vital role in disseminating the information ...
The travel of information of the local people should not take days as it is in the past. But along with information the good and bad impact on social life is taking part ... The youngs are really fascinated with the fashion western world is enjoying and the copycats are really going fast for the lesser good stuffs....:(
This way only the localization aspects are taking part in the world of media i guess ... but have to take it to real social life as well ..... Traditional dress have to be put to use ... the ways of making ktm clean as in those days have to be implemented and water and sanitation methods ...
Why only techies are implemented .. have anyone thought about the old ways which could be more better than these new techies ....

Resources .... resources..
Its been bit busy day but still the work has to be done...
The fiscal year ending ... so all the financial stuff have to be sorted out...
and start fresh..

nothing much to do about the technology its growing .... more day per day..
it seems that the war between proprietory and open source ( so called free softwares ) are going on but the cost of ownership is still the big issue which a general people have not considered ....
i think the proprietory software vendors do charge a lum sum in the begining and provide quality service whereas the opensource provide the software for free... ( or nomial cost ) in the begining and start charging for the support and makes a quite handsome earnings in the long run.. this is duly ok for living and making the FLOSS Community A-LIVE and it has even helped a lot in the evolving process to create a great solution which i think the closed source people wouldnot have possible done.
But the community has been growing ever since the concept was generalized and the opportunity in the field of IT has made impact not only in the economy but also socially. i guess this is the process of development and the information and knowledge is being considered as the power for next generation.....

As my topic suggest the resource for doing any work have to be available in the form of knowledgebase or information .... so these sort of resources are freely available and made available for more productive work.....
it is agreed that no reinventing the wheel but refurbishing the wheel would be great.

The day with Allen
The meeting was really fruitful that-----the betterment of Nepali language in computing has to be taken seriously coz its been several years that Micro$oft platform and FLOSS platforms are working together to deploy the Nepali Interfaced Computer Application and even the whole OS.
Not only the interface but the UA(USER ACCESSIBILITY) have to be considered for the easeness of use. And it seems that the idea is to provide sufficient material for the user to be able to use the computing with the aid of computer itself.
Now the time have come to put up resources together to give the user a choice for taking the ownership of the computing language and start computing in LOCAL language and even in their mother tongue (lets make it possible).
It seems the computing in nepali language have taken some heights within past 3-4 years. It has been a great efforts from all the learned people to come together for the development and deployment of the products once we thought as of dreams.

By the way the news might be shocking for many of us that the win98 was been put to sleep and will not be supported in newer advanced machines.

Final day for world cup ending
As the ups and downs of the teams the real moment for the great day has arrived...
The world cup finals...
i had a rough day though i am going to enjoy the game alas.
this has been a big moment ...

Society has been turned into frog ... he he .. i mean one says this and all follows...

i mean to say that i have been doing this for quite some time i don't know what the people want or like i have been roaming with my own likes and dislikes i never tried to see it from other peoples eyes... now when i did try to see that i started to hate everyone and everything even myself.. what was i doing without knowing ...
so wat thou sow shall thou reap
any way i have been enjoying my days with the regrets but still...have to learn a lot...

New technology are coming up and open source people are making much use of the newer technology..
today i have tried the 2.14 gnome and found it amazingly fast in my linux box.
which i have using it for 2.6 onwards,
the applets are real cool.. deskbar one of the nicest i could not stand its comparison the apples search tool... damn cool..
any way i was unable to upgrade fully i will be doing it soon and will be reaping some benefit out of Gnome

Purchasing Power
The power of people to spend ... is really getting much more that earlier...
the goods of luxury have been on sale and lots of business man are really reaping the fruit out of it...
but still lots of stuff have to change ...
who says nepal is "garib" I guess that is just a thego.....
The market have made it possible to have comfort for all the low scale earners too... you can get anything and everything in installment basis with 0% percent interest .. you just go on paying little by little and enjoy the comfort out of the things...
It has become obsession and destiny for many like me... I just got microwave oven for my mum. It cost me almost nothing for that price...........
And in the evening it was raining heavily .. that we enjoyed the evening treat...
with some gin and sprite.... rest all lost in the thin air....

hic hic ..... the chat was heating up with the soccer game so called world cup...
the so called best team are really worsen this year .. Argentina ... brazil... and what not ... got all kicked out before they could be put to some fame...
but still the game is in the heat and people out here stay awake whole night .......for the fun of watching the game...
bet some day nepal will also be holding the game... i wish i could see the day come true.
